Sociology Department Scholarships
The Sociology Department offers a number of departmental scholarships each year that cover up to 18 hours of resident tuition for two semesters. Continuing Sociology students, transfer students, and incoming freshman are encouraged to apply for these scholarships.

You'll need Acrobat Reader that can be downloaded free from Adobe to view the the necessary forms. Applications and recommendation forms can also be picked up at the Advisor's office, BEH S 326.

*NOTE* You must be a declared Sociology major to apply for the departmental scholarships. If you have questions regarding your status, contact the Advisor.
The College of Social and Behavioral Science offers a number of scholarships. The deadline for these applications is also February 8, 2008. The application and supporting material should be sent to the Sociology Advisor at the address noted above, NOT to the Dean's Office. While these scholarships aren't Sociology-specific, Sociology students are eligible for them. Click here for more information and to print an application form.
We encourage you to have your recommender write a letter as well as fill out the form. Letters of recommendation for both the Departmental and College Scholarships should be sent directly to the Sociology Department. Please provide your recommender with the Sociology Department address. If your recommendation letter will be coming via campus mail, it should be sent to BEH S 301.
