Message from the Advisor
The Sociology Advising Office is available to all current and prospective students of sociology. This includes students from other institutions thinking about transferring to the U. It is my job to help you plot your course to graduation in the most efficient and quickest way possible. I cannot register for you but I can help you navigate the University's rules and regulations thereby helping you to graduate on time and with the least amount of stress possible. Your education should be fun and enjoyable.
I am one of your best resources on campus. I see between 1,000 and 1,500 students each year. However, I'm not a guarantee. You are the only one responsible for your graduation. I expect you to do your best to familiarize yourself with University and department requirements, see me regularly, and follow through with your academic plan. I do my best to look out for any possible academic hazards, be aware of any shortcuts, and know the U's rules and regulations inside and out. You're not alone. If you're feeling lost or overwhelmed please let me help. The U's requirements can seem complex and cumbersome. Academic problems need to be resolved early and I'm the first person that can help.
