Sociology Student Advisory Committee (SSAC):
SSAC is a group of Sociology students that:
-Promote academic and social activities
-Encourage collaboration with other student organizations
-Provide service opportunities
-Perform and facilitate faculty retention, promotion, and tenure
-Facilitate the course evaluation process
-Build community at the University

Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society:
AKD hosts service and other activities throughout the year.  Benefits: Members wear honor cords at the graduation ceremonies, provides excellent opportunities for leadership and involvement, valuable on your resume and grad school applications.  To join: Must be an officially declared sociology major or demonstrate a serious interest in sociology, and must be at least a junior with a 3.0.
