RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Kuo's current research interests include social change and economic transformation of various East Asian countries as well as issues confronted by Asian-Americans. Topics such as institutional changes in China's economics, and the impact of democratization on Taiwan national were addressed in his research. Sample articles are "Democratization and the political economy of Taiwan" (International Journal of Politics, Culture, and Society, 1997) and "Family Socialization of Ethnic Identity among Chinese American Pre-Adolescents" (Journal of Comparative Family Studies, 2000/2001).
